Author’s Notes: I don’t know why I keep doing this to myself. I kept listening to Madame de Pompadour’s theme, which is one of the most heartbreaking tunes in “Doctor Who.”   I’ve been so obsessed with Sarah’s departure, mainly because I felt it was so premature.  That, and I love Four/Sarah.  I did my best to make sure Harry wasn’t a complete idiot, and I’m pleased on how he came out.  Also, I’m determined to make this the final sad!Four/Sarah fic I write, since I’m thoroughly depressed now that I’ve finished.

Summary: Post “Hand of Fear.”  Harry visits Sarah Jane after her departure from the Doctor.  Four/Sarah undertones.

Author’s Note: First completed “Firefly” fan fic.  I love Simon and Kaylee’s relationship, but at the same time, love Mal and Kaylee’s bother/sister bond.  So, I combined both and came up with this.

Sailor Moon- she was one busy bitch!  By day she was clumsy Tsukino Usagi, a crybaby and a rotton student with a heart of gold; when evil emerged, she was the pretty warrior Sailor Moon, and in the name of the moon, she'd punish you!  But not only did she save the world on countless occasions- she captured the hearts of young girls across the globe, including mine.

For anime fans, you always remember your first, and Sailor Moon was mine.  It was the summer of 1995, very early in the morning, and my mother was going to babysit our cousins that day.  So she woke my brother and me up, gave us breakfast, and put on the first cartoon she could find; it was the episode when Nephrite posed as Tuxedo Mask and was convinced that Naru was Sailor Moon.  I was mesmerized from there.

I was not the only one to be captured by the pretty warrior; "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon" is one of the most popular anime in the world, paving the way for anime to become popular outside of Japan and into the Western world.  Created by Takeuchi Naoko, the series was appealing to young girls, full of magic, romance and good ol' fashioned fight between good and evil.  Many fans today credit this as what attracted them to anime.

Despite the demand and popularity here in the U.S., DVDs and television appearances are slim to none; the license has been expired for about four years with no real explanation to why it hasn't been picked up.  I've heard them all from the producers of "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" wanting to promote the series to the producers not wanting to license the series again to the license itself being too expensive.  I've convinced myself that there is a vicious bidding war between companies in order to stand victor.  But that's just me and my madness.  However, there is no way that I can believe that no company wants to license the series.

If you re-dub the series and stick it on a good time slot on a good network (i.e. the Toonami slot on Cartoon Network) it could explode all over again.  If the sucess of "Naruto" has shown us anything, its that you can keep the original Japanese names and still make it a hit.  So if you re-dub the series, keeping the original names, themes, and yes, genders, it will not only appeal to the newer audiences, but the older, more bitter fans as well.  And if you enlist in a toy manufacturer and merchandise sales, you can make a killing.  You could easily make back the money you spent on redubbing and distributing the series.

However, this just might be my dilusional side speaking.  Even now, as I scurry across the internet searching for rare Sailor Moon merchandise I hope someday I will be able to turn on my television and watch "Sailor Moon."  But until they, I can bask in that comfy and sugary feeling of nostalgia thinking about my favorite childhood heroine, Tsukino Usagi, the reincarnation of Princess Serenity, or simply the Pretty Warrior, Sailor Moon.
